1. What is your personal philosophy?

Never be embarrassed. Doing something wrong is the first step in learning how to do it right.  The sooner you can come to terms with looking silly all the time the easier entrepreneurship and growth becomes!

2. What’s the weirdest job you’ve ever had?

Stall mucker! I shoveled a lot of literal sh*t as a teenager.

3. If you could do another job for just one day, what would it be?

I’m not really qualified to do anything else! But I’m an avid science fiction fan so I suppose if I could work on some of the projects that are leading us to space like our first manned mission to Mars or things like asteroid mining or a space elevator I’d be thrilled!

4. Disruption is always on the tip of everyone’s tongue. In your opinion, what is going to be the ultimate game-changer for the payments industry?

I still find it annoying having to scramble for my credit card when I’m shopping on my phone and want to make a purchase. Making that experience seamless (no easy ask) so I can buy without any barriers is my dream.

5. What are you most looking forward to at the All Payments Expo 2016 in New Orleans?

I’m excited for the gumbo! No but really I’m excited to see where we are as an industry taking the customer experience to make payments as easy as possible. The further we go into ecommerce and omnichannel the more critical it will be that we make our customers happy with smooth purchasing experiences so I’m thrilled to see what everyone is up to and soak it all in!
